Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed with his wife for New York overnight into Thursday where he is set to address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House.
"I am now leaving with my wife for the UN General Assembly and Washington. At the UN General Assembly, I will speak our truth — the truth of the citizens of Israel, the truth of the IDF soldiers, and the truth of our country," Netanyahu said in a statement before boarding the plane.
"I will denounce those leaders who, instead of denouncing the murderers, rapists, and child burners, want to give them a state in the heart of the Land of Israel. This will not happen," he continued.
"In Washington," he said, "I will meet for the fourth time with President Trump and discuss with him the great opportunities that our victories have brought and also our need to complete the goals of the war: to return all our hostages, to defeat Hamas, and to expand the circle of peace that is open to us following the historic victory in ‘Am Kalavi’ and other victories that we have achieved."

Italy's Meloni speaks ahead of voting in favor of some of the EU sanctions against Israel for the Gaza war
Meloni says the country will vote in favor of only some of the sanctions imposed by the European Commission against Israel because of its violation of humanitarian norms but does not side with those who choose to blame Israel alone.
"It was Hamas who unleashed the war. It is Hamas who could end the suffering of Palestinians by immediately releasing all the hostages. It is Hamas that seems intent on thriving on the suffering of the people it claims to represent."
"Israel must free itself from the trap of this war," she says, "for the history of the Jewish people, for its democracy, for the innocent, and for the universal values of the free world of which it is part."

Israel has exceeded the limit with a large-scale war.
But we do not side with those who blame Israel alone, because Hamas unleashed the war.
